so who are we?

Community Energy Direct is a non-profit support organisation for local volunteer-led groups (Energy Smart Clubs) to help households within the community to resolve energy issues.

 

We help our volunteers (Energy Smart Champions) to set up their own local knowledge hub (Energy Smart Club) for anyone who wants help to find out about energy and how to use their home in a more energy efficient manner.

CED JOINS THE ENERGY BILL REVOLUTION!

Following a meeting between Energy Smart Champions and the Energy Bill Revolution in July, CED has agreed to support the Energy Bill Revolution campaign

NEW PROJECTS LAUNCH IN OCTOBER
Energy Smart projects to launch in Bradford and Settle - these programmes will be part of Department of Energy and Climate Change Big Energy Saving Network.

Centre for Sustainable Energy Event comes to Leeds.

The event was part of a national programme organised by the Centre for Sustainable Energy to raise the profile of the Green Open Homes network

energy smart club Collective Switch - Report

SUMMER 2013 COLLECTIVE SWITCH SUCCESS

Community Energy Direct's Energy Smart collective switch closed in August 2013, saving more than £100,000 on household energy bills in Yorkshire and Rochdale. Around 7,000 households took part and 600+ households made the switch.

 

CED AT ENERGY SUMMIT

In October 2013 Community Energy Direct attended an Energy Summit with Secretary of State Ed Davey.
